Albert Fairhead proudly standing outside the Village Shop in 1908. Note the small glazed window panes stone steps and iron railings outside the Shop. This extended frontage was a Victorian addition.
Albert Fairhead in 1965 standing beside the Shop's delivery Van. It was a common site making deliveries to outlying farms and cottages. Albert died just a few years later in 1968.
Brian and Dorothy ran the Village Shop from 1946 up until 1994 when Brian became terminally ill.
In the latter stages of his illness
the Villagers rallied to support
Brian and offered to continue the Shop as a Community run venture.
Since the formation in 1994 of the Itteringham Community Association the Village Shop has been Community run. Now a team of volunteers and employees drawn from the Village and surrounding communities work to ensure it will survive and trade on into the future.

“I wish all villages had a shop/cafe like this!”
Returned from a delightful stay in this lovely village. What a brilliant village shop/post office/cafe . Not only do they serve the most scrummy food but this fantastic little shop is stocked with brilliant goods and produce. We were able to order our papers for our stay, buy good wholesome homemade food and more! WELL done to those running this very special community shop.

Nice to see these people do well, they are passionate about what they do.Call in you won't be disapointed.
